Beijer Electronics, Malmö Company of the Year, donates prize money to Pink Programming!
In February 2024, Beijer Electronics was honored to win the award Malmö Company of the Year by Malmö Näringslivsgala accompanied with a prize of 30,000 SEK. Considering this recognition, Beijer Electronics has decided to donate the entirety of this prize to an organization that aligns closely with our values and mission.
It is with great enthusiasm that we have decided to support Pink Programming, an initiative that embodies the spirit of empowerment and inclusivity within the tech community. By supporting Pink Programming, we hope to contribute to their work and further empower individuals to pursue their passion for coding and technology. “To help in empowering female programmers feels great as it aligns well with both our values and line of business” – says Kristine Lindberg, CEO of Beijer Electronics.
This decision was influenced by this year’s UN theme for International Women’s Day – "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”. At Beijer Electronics, investing in women means creating opportunities, providing mentorship, and cultivating an environment where everyone can thrive. We believe in the power of initiatives that empower and uplift women, as well as providing equitable access to resources and opportunities. Together, we can continue to build a more inclusive and vibrant tech community for all.
